Change lives and your career for the better

ACC - it's great to know it's there for us, if and when we need it. And it's also great to know there are people out there - like you - who'd make amazing ACC Recovery Coordinators. If you've been thinking about making a change and moving into a job where you can use your talents to help those in communities across Aotearoa, this could be the role for you. Now's the time to step forward, to truly contribute to positive outcomes - making a tangible difference by helping people navigate their ACC recovery journey. As a Recovery Coordinator you'll be giving back… but you'll also be gaining so much; a sense of purpose, supportive and caring colleagues, and a career move that's both personally fulfilling and professionally rewarding.

About the Recovery Coordinator role

Imagine starting each day knowing that the work you'll do has the power to drive positive change - to literally make someone else's life better. It may sound bold… but it is the reality of the Recovery Coordinator role. You will be at the heart of clients' recovery journeys - guiding, assisting, arranging and connecting so they can reach their recovery goals. It's about managing the moving parts of the recovery journey to help people get back to the things they love doing. Whether that's helping them get back to work, back to sport or school, or back visiting whanau, you'll play a key role in making it all happen.

Your client interactions will be all phone-based, and on a daily basis you'll be coordinating between a range of providers such as specialists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists - essentially whoever and whatever is required to best help client recoveries. Long story short, this is mahi with meaning - where your mana and sense of purpose can lead to tangible, positive recovery outcomes. It's also worth knowing this is a Monday-Friday role, with a minimum of two days a week in the office when fully trained (we provide you with a laptop, headset, monitor, cables, mouse, and a keyboard to support this).
